Sure have been missing Mom and Dad a lot. Yesterday would've been Uncle Bill's 87th birthday. There was this chain of events that happened in 2007 and it all began with Bill's birthday.
I remember Dad went out to Phoenix to be with Bill and Tom and Joe. Mom did not go because she wasn't feeling well or did not like the way she looked. She was taking prednisone and it made her face sort of balloon out. It made her self conscious. Anyway, she did not go, but I remember picking Dad up in Bloomington at the Hampton Inn after the airport shuttle had dropped him off. Mom and I went to pick him up. I remember it so well. We got there right when the shuttle did. I helped Dad put his bag in the car and he rode in the back seat. I was glad to see him. I worried about my 83 year old father traveling alone. But he was fine. I was glad he was home safe.
Trying hard to remember. After he got home that next week, it seems like I helped him send pictures from his camera from his trip to Walgreens and then I went over and picked them up.
My cousin, Mark Breidenbach (Bill's son), went along with them and took pictures of the 4 brothers playing golf. These are such treasured pictures. I think they were in the kitchen so I know Dad looked at them.
I will probably always remember these last few weeks before their deaths. The last few times I spent with them.
Love you Mom and Dad.
